What is ‘Body Stress’?
Stress is a common and often necessary part of daily life – but, it can easily turn from something that physically and mentally stimulates us to something that can have severe adverse effects on our health and well being.
When your levels of stress transcend your body’s ability to adapt, it becomes stored instead of released. The symptoms of either mechanical, emotional or chemical stress overload can result in stored muscle tension.
What is Body Stress Release?
It is a technique which helps your body heal itself.
Your Body Stress Release (BSR) practitioner will find the areas of your body where stress is stored as muscle tension and stimulate these locations to encourage the body to release the tension.
Your body speaks for itself.
The process is simple – light pressure is applied to particular points on your body, and the response will reveal a map of your lines of tension. You’ll be fully clothed and lying down when your BSR practitioner then encourages the release of stored stress by means of a light but definite pressure along the lines of located tension.
It’s gentle, fast and force-free.
Your body naturally strives to be free from stress – Body Stress Release simply helps it achieve its goal. This stress is usually released fairly rapidly, but tension that has been stored for longer periods of time may require a number of BSR sessions.
